As we prepare to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome 2022, the Team at Save Our Shores wants to once again express how grateful we are to everyone who shares our vision for clean shores, healthy habitats, and living waters. We hope you will continue to support our work through volunteering, participating in advocacy campaigns, attending events, and donating needed funds in 2022. Together we can continue exploring the most effective ways to continue safeguarding our region's magnificent marine ecosystems while finding new ways to inspire future generations of ocean stewards and protect all life on this miraculous blue planet!

We wish you and yours health, happiness, and hope in 2022!

NOAA is accepting public comments about the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, located off the central coast of California, until January 10, 2022.

As the first Tribally nominated sanctuary, the Chumash Sanctuary is a vital step toward recognizing the need to center Indigenous knowledge and will safeguard the Central Coast from offshore oil expansion and other threats.

Please consider sharing a public comment in support of designating the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary by January 10, 2022.
